Meet Corena. She is one of our 2014 senior models for Monroe High School. She is a rower and a diver. How cool is that? She enjoys reading and sewing (really fun rag dolls) and wants to be a marine biologist. I love her hobbies –  I wish I did those options when I was in high school, maybe I’d be shooting schools of fish rather than schools of teenagers! We spent a sunny, but windy afternoon photographing at the Everett Rowing Association. It is such a cool location. Corena told me beforehand that she is a generally more serious girl – but after her session, how can you not love this smile?

Ask Corena how you can save $25 on your senior session.

Remember this face? We photographed Joseph back during his senior year. Now he is all grown up. We met up one morning and began the shoot at 7 AM to get that perfect morning light. It was so worth it. There was a chill and could see your breath and every glimmer of ice on the tree-tops. Makes morning sessions not all that bad. Enjoy the images of Joseph.

We photographed this brave family at their home. I say ‘brave’ because it was a measly 20 degrees outside. It was definitely the coldest week of this winter so far and the boys were just wearing t-shirts during most of the session. We got some GREAT images just in time for the oldest, Dane, leaving for two years with the Navy. He is to be stationed in Greece, a country I have always wanted to visit! Enjoy!

Mike is one of the first people I met when I moved Washington. We actually met on Craigslist, but not in the creepy sort of way everyone’s mind goes to. He has been a great asset to JW Photography with his photography and design skills. Not too much longer, I met Ashley. She has a soft spot in her heart for helping children and makes me laugh every time I see her.

They got engaged and asked me to be their photographer. It meant a lot to me to be able to be the one to capture special moments on their day. All the images make me smile and bring me back to that fun, HOT, happy day.
